Press releases will be held in our DOCUMENT section and are available for download.
Motorcycle Sport and Leisure is Britain's longest running motorcycle magazine and we are delighted to announce that they will be sending their Editor and a photographer to join us on the ride. In the next month or two, MSL will be covering the planning stages and interviewing team members and of course Kevin.
This monthly magazine has over 34,500 readers and is backed by an online version.
Further features will appear between now and the event date in July and then beyond with coverage of the big ride itself. The editor's bike will be fitted with video cameras front and back the photographer will be taking pictures of all the key stages, the riders, group shots and scenic pictures too. A DVD of the work will then be produced for sale to the general public with proceeds being donated to our total fund-raising effort.
We will bring you further news on this, and more, very soon.
We received a very generous offer of help from Daryl Willcox Publishing (London) to compose our first national press release which was released through the DWP wire on 7th March. Although we were not overwhelmed by early responses, the value of this is now being seen the Press Association picked up on the story and have been helping us to gain exposure, including an introduction to the local radio station Heart who are planning to interview Kevin very soon more details will follow.
The story was also picked up by a Spanish bikers group Tour and Track which, as the name might suggest, organises touring, ride-outs and track days for those lucky enough to spend their days sunning it anywhere near Alicante. We would like to say a special "thank you" to Lol Duffy, Tour&Track's secretary, who has also reproduced our press release in the local English paper Inland Trader and plans to translate the story for Spanish papers too.
Read Lol's blog.
If you can help us like this, please get in touch.
Further reporting of this release was also seen on the Charities Aid Foundation website which can be seen by clicking here. The picture with that story is not ours, but some people believe those bikes to be part of Kevins private collection.
Poster displays and collection goblets will soon appear in various SUBWAY stores which will further raise our profile. If you would like to host one of our collection goblets and posters, please let us know. These can substantially raise our donation levels.
We have some contacts with the BBC East Midlands News and BBC Radio Nottingham. We shall be making enquiries with a view to establishing possible areas of interest that would enable us to run stories with each. More to follow...
Pull Focus Media will be making a film of our ride, including interviews with key members before and after the event. Travelling with us on the route, their team will capture the magnificent scenery of places like Bromsgrove!
On a more serious note, they will put together a DVD of the whole event which will not only be available for purchase, raising further funds for the group, but will also be used to tempt TV stations to run clips of our ride etc.
They are providing their services free of charge and we thank them for their kind generosity.
